Frequently Asked Questions

It is a standard authentication solution by NPCI for RuPay cards, providing a safe way to shop online. It uses a combination of Secret Phrases, Images, and a PIN to ensure only you can authorize a transaction.

Yes, for all e-commerce transactions on RuPay cards, registration for PaySecure is required to ensure 2nd-factor authentication as per RBI guidelines.

You can reset your secret phrase and image by re-registering your card details and verifying with a fresh OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

If your card is blocked for online transactions, please contact your nearest Municipal Co-Op Bank branch or call our 24x7 helpdesk at 022-22717800 to unblock it after verification.

Critical Security Instructions

Cardholder Responsibilities:

  • Ensure your mobile number is updated with the bank to receive transaction OTPs.
  • The Bank or NPCI will NEVER ask for your PaySecure PIN or OTP over phone, email, or SMS.
  • Always verify that your pre-selected personal image and secret phrase are visible during the payment checkout before entering your PIN.

Terms and Conditions

CVD2

The 3-digit Card Verification Data printed on the signature panel of your RuPay Card.

OTP

A unique One Time Password sent to the cardholder's mobile to authorize a session.

Issuer Bank

Refers to Municipal Co-Operative Bank Ltd., Mumbai.

PaySecure PIN

A private password set by the cardholder for authorizing online payments.


By registering for RuPay PaySecure, you agree that you are the legitimate cardholder and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN and OTP. Any unauthorized transaction due to negligence in keeping these details secret shall be the cardholder's responsibility.
